The designer based the shape of this work on the pomegranate, embellishing it with floral patterns, to represent being fruitful and basking in nobility. The shape is also reminiscent of a goldfish, symbolizing a pantry brimming with treasure, abundance year after year.
In Chinese tradition, pomegranates hold special symbolic meaning because they contain numerous seeds, representing the wish for many children, a harmonious family, and the auspicious symbols of wealth and abundant harvest.
