Monga Old Street refers to the area around Guiyang Street in front of the Qingshan Temple in Monga. Previously known as 'Sweet Potato Market Street,' it is known as the first street of Taipei and is the oldest street in the city. It also marks the starting point of Monga's prosperity. To this day, it still retains some of the characteristic red brick architecture from the Qing Dynasty and Japanese colonial era. Among them, the Bopiliao Historical Block spans architectural features from the Qing Dynasty, Japanese era, and post-war period, making it the best witness to the development of the Monga district.
